2026 Summer KAI-X Research Internship Program
KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X)
KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Summer KAI-X Research Internship Program.
Eligibility
-
Overseas undergraduate students (3rd or 4th year)
-
Graduate students (Master’s course)
※ Students currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program are not eligible.
Fields of study include Natural Sciences, such as:

Physics

Chemistry
-
Mathematics
-
Biology
-
Brain & Cognitive Science
-
Medical Science
Internship Period

July 1 – August 14, 2026

Applicants must prepare the following documents before starting the Google Form.

Applicants must also provide the recommender’s information in the application form:

If any official documents are not in English, a notarized English translation must be submitted along with the original documents
Selection Process

Applicants must select ONE major
-
Applicants may choose up to TWO research fields

The final selection results are expected to be announced in mid-April 2026

Financial Support
The program provides the following support:

Round-trip airfare (actual expenses, up to 1,000,000 KRW)
-
Dormitory accommodation support (up to 500,000 KRW
