The Summer KAI-X Research Internship is a seven-week research experience at KAIST
for outstanding students from universities around the world.
January 19 – February 15, 2026
July 1 – August 13, 2026 (7 weeks)
Undergraduate (junior/senior) and master’s students at overseas universities
Airfare (KRW 1,000,000) + housing (KRW 500,000) + living expenses (KRW 600,000) = KRW 2,100,000 in total
An additional KRW 300,000 for student teaching assistants (TA)
Welcome and farewell ceremonies that build a sense of community
Regular social gatherings for networking
Cultural experience activities around Daejeon
Graduate-student TAs assigned for hands-on guidance
